Rotational car seats have transformed baby gear, offering many advantages for parents and children. At the forefront of this revolution is the Revolve360™, a game-changing innovation that offers one-hand, 360° rotation that makes it easier to get your child in and out of the car. Here are some benefits of choosing a rotational car seat over a traditional one:
Parents — we’re making it easier for you!
One of the most significant advantages of rotational car seats is the ease of loading and unloading your child from the vehicle. By allowing the seat to rotate towards you, the need for twisting and straining while securing your child into their car seat is eliminated.
This makes the entire process a breeze for parents, especially when dealing with a fussy 2 or 3- year-old who may not be cooperative when getting into their car seat. Rotating the seat towards you can reduce resistance from your child, making the entire experience more seamless.
Additionally, many children find the novelty of a rotational car seat to be exciting and fun, which can help make car journeys more enjoyable for them.
Safety and installation
From a safety standpoint, rotational car seats offer significant benefits as well. Most convertible car seats have two belt paths to accommodate both rear-facing and forward-facing installation modes. The Evenflo® Revolve360™ has only one belt path, which is used whether the car seat will be forward or rear-facing, making it less confusing to install. This streamlined design reduces the likelihood of using the wrong belt path and can provide peace of mind for parents.
The installation process for the Revolve360 has some similarities to infant car seats because the shell and base can be separated. This allows the caregiver easy access to the single belt path. This installation method differs from most traditional convertibles, where the vehicle seat belt must be routed underneath the soft goods, which makes it more difficult to access and visualize. Additionally, with the belt path more accessible, the caregiver can get a tighter installation using the leverage of the LockStrong™ feature on the base. Closing the LockStrong removes slack and provides for a secure installation with less time and effort.
With the base installed, the Revolve360 offers one time installation for rear-facing and forward-facing use when installed with the vehicle seat belt. Most convertible car seats require removing and reinstalling the car seat when changing from rear-facing to forward-facing. The single installation of the Revolve360 reduces the opportunity for errors when it is time to change the direction your child is facing. With the Revolve360, you simply rotate the seat and lock it in place.
Another benefit of the one-time installation is the ability to utilize the tether both rear-facing and forward-facing. Using the tether adds a third connection to the vehicle which stabilizes and improves child restraint performance in the event of a crash. Most traditional convertible seats do not offer the benefit of tether in rear-facing installations.
With the Revolve360, the ease of securing your child into the car seat has the additional benefit of a tighter harness. With the seat facing you, the harness adjuster is more accessible and allows the caregiver to use their weight to tighten the harness system. A tight harness reduces movement in the event of a crash. Simply rotate the car seat to the correct locked position after tightening the harness.
The benefits of rotational car seats are clear! They prioritize ease of use and safety, while simplifying the installation process and promoting best practices in car seat safety. With the introduction of the Revolve360, parents can now elevate their child's travel experience to new heights, knowing that they have invested in a superior and innovative solution for on-the-go safety.
