The NurtureMax features an
anti-rebound base designed to absorb and dissipate crash forces. And you can
count on the full-coverage canopy for a shield against sun, rain showers and
gusty breezes while you’re on the go. At just under 6 lb, NurtureMax is the
lightest infant seat in its class, a distinction you’ll appreciate every time
you remove the seat from its stay-in-car base to take baby with you. Ergonomic
and one-hand adjustable, the Push & Go™ handle makes sure getting baby in
and out is never a struggle. Convenience bonus: you can add a second base to
another vehicle to simplify rides with baby’s multiple chauffeurs.

Q. What is the weight of the car seat?
The following product weight is an estimate and may vary slightly depending on the specific fashion and trim of your car seat. Infant carrier + base = 8.4 lb; Infant carrier alone = 5.3 lb
Q. What is the lifespan of this car seat?
This car seat has a 6 year expiration from the date of manufacture. The specific expiration date is listed on the date and model label on the product. Safety standards change over time as restraint technology develops. Expiration dates help ensure that old products are eventually removed from circulation, so all children can benefit from improvements.
Q. Where is the date and model label?
You can find the date of manufacture, model name and model number on a label found under the infant carrier and on the base.
Q. When I install my Evenflo car seat in my vehicle, some of the car seat bottom hangs off the front edge of the vehicle seat. Is that allowed?
Generally, most Evenflo car seats allow approximately 20% of the bottom of the car seat to hang over the front of the vehicle seat. The majority of the bottom of the car seat (80%) should be supported by the vehicle seat. This applies whether the car seat is installed rear-facing, forward-facing or in booster mode, and whether installed with the vehicle seat belt or the lower anchor system.
In some minivans with optional second row center seats, you may find that the car seat bottom actually overhangs the side of the vehicle seat. In this situation, the same general guidance above applies - at least 80% of the bottom of the car seat must be supported by the vehicle seat.
Q. Where do I check to make sure I have a tight install?
Firmly grip the car seat near the belt path opening, which is where you have it installed. Try to move the car seat side to side and front to back. The car seat should not move more than one inch (2.5 cm). If it moves more than one inch at the belt path, try your installation again. If it still moves more than one inch you may need to change seating positions in your vehicle or try a different installation method.
