Swaddle

A soft blanket used to wrap newborns snugly, mimicking the feeling of the womb.  Swaddling may help calm babies, promote better sleep, and reduce the startle reflex.  Modern swaddles often feature Velcro or zipper closures for ease of use and a secure fit. Swaddling should be discontinued when an infant shows signs that they are attempting to  roll (around 3 – 4 months for some infants).
